Let’s hope English grapes will look like this…

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERAI was lucky enough to go to Spain for a couple of days last weekend to join in a friend’s birthday celebrations. We stopped for a coffee at La Garganta in the El Churro gorge and the terrace roof was filled with delightfully ripening grapes. Very different from the early grapes we’ve seen in England so far this year, which are little more than specks just yet. It was such a lovely sight, I thought it worth sharing.

As ever, Duty Free was checked for English Wines on the way out; none was found, but I think an airport as small as Southampton can be forgiven rather sooner than Terminal 5 at Heathrow. I asked in the shop and apparently Wickham wines are served in the executive lounge, so although I didn’t get to see them, I reckon that English wine in the posh seats is a lot better than nothing.
