2008 Late Disgorged Blanc de Blancs
This is a truly special wine, made from 100% Chardonnay with a minimum of 6 years ageing on its yeast lees. From a cool vintage, 2008 led to wines with high acidity and a racy citrus fruit profile which has provided wines from this vintage with exceptional finesse and a superb ability to age.
Light golden in colour with soft, gentle bubbles, this wine has a creamy, developed autolytic nose from extended ageing on the lees. On the palate there is lime-zest freshness with a good mousse, flavour intensity and a creamy texture. Fresh lemon and lime citrus flavours form the backbone of the wine, along with red fruits and brioche characters leading to a balanced, long finish.

Set amidst bluebell-strewn woods from which the vineyard derives its name, Bluebell Vineyard Estates is an award-winning vineyard and winery in the heart of Sussex, on the edge of the Ashdown Forest.
Bluebell is a family-run vineyard and winery with a passion for producing world-class sparkling wines. Since 2005 they been driven by the desire to produce sparkling wines that can rival the best in the world, and work meticulously from ‘grape to glass’ to achieve this.
They grow the classic sparkling wine grape varieties and use the traditional method of production, but their goal is to create something distinctively English: terroir-driven, bottle-fermented, hand-crafted sparkling wines bursting with fruit character.
About the Vineyard
The site, once home to thousands of Large Whites, Landrace and Blue Cross Pigs is now home to over 100,000 vines growing premium quality Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Seyval Blanc vines.
Since the first plantings in 2005, the vineyard has more than doubled in size to 70 acres under-vine stretching across East and West Sussex.
In the Winery
Experienced winemaker Kevin Sutherland leads the team in the on-site winery.
