Brickhouse Vineyard is a unique wedding venue, offering a stunning English countryside location with a historic twist. Brickhouse is just 20 minutes from Exeter, yet you’ll feel a world away from the bustle of the city.

Weddings at Brickhouse Vineyard

Whether you’re a party of up to 50, or it’s just the two of you, you’ll have exclusive use of this fabulous vineyard wedding venue allowing you and your party total privacy and space to relax and enjoy your special day.

Get married legally in the recently renovated 18th Century Round House set on a landscaped terrace providing a natural outdoor aisle and overlooking the vines. Just the two of you eloping? The owners will be delighted to be witnesses.

Corporate and Private Events

The recently renovated 18 Century Round House sits within 20 acres of vineyards, fields, organic gardens and woodland, providing exclusive venue hire for both corporate events and private hire.

The adaptable inside-space and landscaped terrace both have stunning views over the vineyards to the countryside and coast beyond, making any kind of event extra special. The doors on the Round House open right up, creating a unique inside/outside feel.

There’s plentiful parking and the venue can recommend transport and accommodation if required.

Wine Tasting Events

A number of options are available for groups of 10+ visitors, including wine tasting experience, wine and cheese tasting and wine and food matching.

Sat Nav postcode: EX6 8GZ. With Oakridge Farm on your right, follow the lane down the hill. At the bottom of the hill you will see horse stables and a sign for Brickhouse Vineyard. Follow the track to the end and you will have reached the venue.

From Torquay and Newton Abbot – it’s best to avoid the exit to Ashcombe on the A380. Instead continue to the next exit signed for “Plymouth, Mamhead, Starcross” and follow Sat Nav directions from there.

From Exeter via Kenton (A379) – at the Countess Wear roundabout, take the exit onto Bridge Rd / A379. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit signposted Kenton, Starcross, Dawlish and follow A379 until you arrive in Kenton. Once in Kenton, take the first right onto Church St, next to Rodean Restaurant, then turn left onto Mamhead Rd passing Kenton Primary School on your left.

Follow Mamhead Rd through the fields until you reach a junction and turn right. Follow the road and take the next left signposted Ashcombe.

Follow the lane downhill, passing an entrance to Black Forest wood on the right, then uphill passing Oakridge Farm on your right. Continue down the lane and at the bottom of the hill you will see horse stables and a sign for Brickhouse Vineyard. Follow the track to the end and you will have reached the venue.

From Exeter via Telegraph Hill (A380) – At the end of the M5 continue on the A380 to the top Telegraph Hill and take the exit for “Old Haldon Hill”. Turn left at the junction and follow the road through the forest and down the hill. You will pass Mamhead House on the right. After half a mile you will pass a crossroads signposted to Mamhead, but keep straight at this junction.

Continue 400 yards to the cross-roads and turn right signposted “Ashcombe”. Follow the lane downhill, passing an entrance to Black Forest wood on the right, then uphill passing Oakridge Farm on your right. Continue down the lane and at the bottom of the hill you will see horse stables and a sign for Brickhouse Vineyard. Follow the track to the end and you will have reached the venue.

From Torquay and Newton Abbot (A380) – take the exit on the A380 signed for “Plymouth, Mamhead, Starcross”, which is approximately 9 miles from Newton Abbot. You are now at the top of Telegraph Hill.

Follow the exit road around a bend and take the right turn for “Mamhead, Starcross, Kenton”. This will take you onto a bridge over the A380.

Follow the road through the forest and down the hill. You will pass Mamhead House on the right. After half a mile you will pass a crossroads signposted to Mamhead, but keep straight at this junction.

The nearest train station is Starcross, which is on the main line between Exeter and Plymouth.

The station is less than 4 miles from the venue, but is often unmanned, so please book a taxi in advance. The venue will be happy to recommend a suitable firm.

Brickhouse Vineyard is about 15 miles by road from Exeter Airport.
